Description
Eighteen-year-old Laverne Anderson representing the New Sweden Athletic Club was the winner of the 1937 Tri-city cross-country ski marathon during the Fort Fairfield Winter Carnival.
This was a 102-mile event from Fort Fairfield to Caribou to Presque Isle back to Fort Fairfield. The race was completed in 16 hours and 21 minutes.
