Description
Captain Harry M. Jones, A.S.O.R.C., shows the message dropped by Lt. Erik H. Nelson as he passed over Old Orchard.
The message reads: "Greetings from The World Fliers, en route Pictou, N.S. to Boston Mass, U.S.A. This is our answer to the question 'Are you glad to be back:' Hello, everybody - you bet we are glad to be back. Regards from each. (Signed) Lowell H. Smith, Erik H. Nelson, Leigh Wade, Leslie P. Arnold, John Harding, Jr., H.H. Ogden."
Jones wrote under the image in his scrapbook, "Message dropped from the Army Round-The-World flyers - 1924."
