Description
Pride of Detroit, a Stinson SM-1 Detroiter, with William S. Brock and Ed Schlee at the controls, attempted an around the world flight. It made it from Detroit to Curtiss Field, New York, on Aug. 22, 1927, where they made final preparations.

Because of pressure due to number of recent fatalities in over-water flight and bad weather in the Pacific, they stopped their trip.
