Description
James W. Ripley, a former U.S. Representative and collector of customs for the district of Passamaquoddy from December 1830, until his death in Fryeburg in 1835, wrote to U.S. Rep. Leonard Jarvis about plans to create ports and about port regulation and fees.
He and Jarvis were both Democrats.
