Description
Robert P. Dunlap (1794-1859), former governor of Maine and a U.S. Representative from Maine, wrote to Josiah Pierce of Gorham (1792-1866) about a matter of business, then filled him in on news from Washington, including the "Oregon question" and England's offer to mediate between the U.S. and Mexico.
