Description
Franklin Pierce of New Hampshire wrote to George Washington Pierce of Portland, chastising him for not writing for some time.
Franklin Pierce wrote that he heard G.W. Pierce was engaged to be married or soon to be and that probably accounted for his inattention to his friend and distant cousin.
