Description
Franklin Pierce of New Hampshire, wrote to George Pierce of Portland, a distant cousin and friend, telling him about Lewis Weld, principal of the asylum at Hartford, whose ideas he thought would interest George.
He also congratulated George on his marriage to Anne Longfellow and chastised him for not letting Pierce know when the wedding was to be held.
