Description
Josiah Pierce (1756-1830) wrote to his wife, Phebe Thompson Pierce (1762-1839), from Westbrook, telling her that he was not coming home yet because their son Daniel, who was quite ill, was uneasy about his father leaving.
The doctors advised Pierce to remain with Daniel (1803-1856), who was 22 years old.
