Description
Kate Furbish painting in a room at her family home at 10 Cumberland Street, Brunswick.
She was born in Exeter, New Hampshire, in 1834 and moved in 1835 with her parents, Benjamin and Mary A. Lane Furbish, to Brunswick.
She became a botanical artist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She died in 1931 at the age of 98, the oldest resident of Brunswick at that time.
