Description
Charles Hunt wrote from Augusta to Josiah Pierce (1792-1866) to fill him in on the opening session of the Maine Legislature.
Hunt comments on the election of a U.S. Senator and about a proposal to move the capital back to Portland.
Pierce had lost his bid to be re-elected to the Legislature.
