Description
James F. Baldwin of Boston wrote to Josiah Pierce of Baldwin concerning sale of lands in Baldwin. Pierce and Baldwin's father, Loammi, were business partners and owned land together in the town.
Seth Spring, a land speculator, was trying to get title to "surplus" lands, some of which were the Baldwin-Pierce holdings.
