Description
James F. Baldwin, an engineer in Boston, writes to Josiah Pierce (1756-1830) of Baldwin, saying he is certain he could have sold some Baldwin land, but is not sure how to proceed since the War of 1812 had begun.
Pierce and Baldwin's father, Loammi, who died in 1807, had been business partners.
