Description
This view of the Sanford Mills was taken from what was then Batley Pond. When the Emery Street Dam was no longer needed, Batley Pond had outlived its usefullness, it was drained during the rebuilding period of 1915-1925. Many years later, this allowed Emery Street to connect to High Street.
