Description
The Pathfinder, a Bellanca 225 HP plan, flown by pilots Roger Q. Williams and Lewis Yancey, taking off from Old Orchard Beach for Rome, Italy on July 8, 1929.
The Bellanca 225 HP with landed in Spain, then went on to Rome.
The pilots had attempted a transatlantic flight from Old Orchard in June 1929, but crashed on takeoff and had to obtain another plane before again attempting their flight.
