Description
A disappearing gun on its way to Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. The photo was taken at Preble and Woodbury streets in South Portland.
The disappearing gun could be lowered into a hidden position, helping to protect coastal armaments from attack.
The gun was moved from Fort Preble.
