Description
Watercolor of the brig Dirigo of Harrington, entering the Bay of Naples, Italy, in December, 1869.
The Dirigo was built in Bath in 1844 and her captain was T. C. Coffin. She was 396 tons, her length was 108.7 ft.; beam; 28.7 ft.; she had two decks and two masts.
The painting is signed: Napoli Gerrerato (neighborhood of Naples).
