Description
Stephen Decatur Lindsey (1828-1884) of Norridgewock attended Bloomfield Academy, studied law and practiced in Norridgewock.
He was a member of the Maine House of Representatives in 1856 and the State Senate from 1868 to 1870, serving as its president in 1869.
A Republican, he was elected to three terms in the United States Congress, serving from 1877 to 1883.
