Edmund F. Webb, Waterville, 1875

Description

Edmund Fuller Webb (1835), a native of Albion, graduated from Waterville (Colby) College in 1856.

He studied law and practiced in Waterville most of his adult life.

He was elected to the Maine House of Representatives for two terms, serving as speaker of the House in 1873. He was then elected to the Senate, where he was speaker in 1875.

Webb also served as Kennebec County Attorney from 1878-1881.

He published The Railroad Laws of Maine: Containing All Public and private Acts and Resolves in 1875.
