Description
The great Springvale fire of April 14, 1905 began in this factory at the corner of Bridge and Pleasant Streets. Following the fire, a new factory was built at this same location and first occupied by the Preston B. Keith Shoe Factory. This is likely one of Fred Philpot's earliest Sanford photographs, ca. 1887.
