Description
Bandleader Colonel R. A. Kempton, famous for always leading on horseback, is seen in this 1892 photo at the Acton Fairgrounds.
Col. Kempton was leader of the Spingvale Brass Band, but it is not known if this is the same group as the hats appear different from other photos of the Springvale band.
