Description
George French, staff photographer for the Maine Publicity Bureau, took this photograph of warden William R. French looking at the bull moose "Joe Pete," who frequented areas around Speckled Mountain in and around the Lovell and Stoneham areas between 1934 and 1939.
French took publicity photographs to promote tourism to the state from 1936-1955.
