Description
William Pepperrell addressed a statement to Barlow Trecothick, head of the British East India Company, concerning passes of a sergeant and eight recruits from Boston to Louisburg in March 1748.
The note mentions the cost and terms of passage for the soldiers.
Pepperrell (1696-1759) led the successful battle to wrest control of Louisburg from the French in 1746.
