Description
Samuel Waldo wrote from Boston to William Pepperrell of Kittery, congratulating him on the birth of a grandchild. Pepperrell's daughter, Elizabeth, was married to Nathaniel Sparhawk, a Boston businessman.
Waldo refers to various business associations among the three men.
Waldo served with Pepperrell when the latter commanded New England forces against the French at Louisbourg in 1745.
Also included is a reply from Pepperrell on the same sheet of paper.
