Description
Librarian Beulah Akeley taken at the Presque Isle Library around 1940. Beulah worked at the library from 1927 to 1945. Later she and her husband George were caretakers at the Methodist church in Presque Isle. Beulah is mentioned in the March 1945 edition of the Reader's Digest as "The Most Unforgettable character I've Met."
