Description
A parade celebrating Brunswick's 150th anniversary on June 13, 1889 featured a group in blackface riding on a so-called fire engine (consisting of a homemade tub with a well pump) being pulled by horses with the sign reading "Darktown 3 Fire Co."
This seems to be the recreation of the Courier & Ives prints called "The Darktown Fire Brigade".
