Description
A single snow storm known as the Blizzard of 1952 dropped 25.4 inches on February 17 and 18.
The storm amounted to a quarter of the total snow fall for that season, creating snow drifts between six and eight feet high in Brunswick.
Roads were impassable as fast as they were opened, crippling traffic and just about all other activity except shoveling for several days.
