Description
Hermon School Number 12, the Coldbrook Road School, was built prior to 1897. The one-room school was rebuilt in 1924 after a fire. After closing, it was moved to Glenburn.
It was one of 14 original 1st - 8th grade schools, each of which was supported by its own district in what is now the town of Hermon. The early schoolhouses were replaced in 1951 by the new Hermon Elementary School building.
