Description
Mrs. L.E. Theoret's Millinery Shop sponsored this float for Sanford's 4th of July Parade in 1903.
To the left of the shop is L. A. Hurd, undertaker. The shop was located near Leavitt's Theater or what later became the Mid-Town Mall.
The July 10, 1903 edition of the Sanford Tribune stated, "... Other noticeable teams were those of Mrs. Theoret, the Main street milliner, a beautifully decorated team representing the seasons which might have been an easy prize winner on the merits of artistic arrangement alone..."
