Description

A portrait of Rev. George E. Adams, who was the minister of the 1st Parish Congregationalist Church in Brunswick, Maine, December 29, 1829 to August 25, 1870, for 40 years. He was born October 27, 1801 and died December 25, 1875. A pipe-organ, the second in the history of The Parish, is a tracker-action instrument, with twenty-three registers and was built by the Hutchings Plaisted Company of Boston bears the inscription "In memory of Rev. George E. Adams, D.D., Pastor of this Church, from 1829 to 1870."
