Description
This group photograph shows "the Ancient and Honorables of Lower Biddeford" at their annual picnic. The people on the far right are seated on an automobile; there is a woman seated at the wheel.
The Ancient & Honorables held their picnic at what was called "the Barley Field" located on the Old Fortunes Rocks Road. The group is believed to have been founded in 1800.
