Description
The crew of the Machigonne poses by the luxury steamer that went between Portland and the islands of Casco Bay including Orr's and Bailey.
The ship was built in 1907. It was difficult to maneuver and expensive to operate and finally sold to a Boston company in 1913.
Cecil M. Hinds was a porter and this was his first job in the United States upon arriving from Jamaica. He is standing in the third row from the top on the right.
