Description
Wabanaki people paddled canoes at the Indian encampment at Deering Oaks Park in Portland during the centennial celebration of Maine statehood, June 26-July 5, 1920.
Passamaquoddies and Penobscots set up an encampment at the park.
This photo was on page nine of the Saturday, July 3, 1920 of the Portland Evening Express.
