Description
Margaret Verrill of Mechanic Falls, who had written two previous letters to Dr. Estes Nichols to try to get a young woman, Agnes, back at the Maine State Sanatorium in Hebron to get treatment for tuberculosis, wrote again asking the doctor how soon Agnes could return.
The sanatorium was privately operated and Verrill said she and others could only afford to pay a reduced rate for the woman's care.
