Description
Dr. L. A Girard of Biddeford wrote to Dr. Estes Nichols, superintendent of the Maine State Sanatorium in Hebron, seeking advice about a young woman with tuberculosis.
"Do you think there is one more chance for her recovery?" Girard asks. The woman, Alberta Christalin, was poor and had possibly been a patient at the sanatorium at one time.
