Description
The Reception Cottage at the Maine State Sanatorium in Hebron where new tuberculosis patients were registered and examined.
The wings are sleeping pavilions that mirror those on the men's and women's cottages.
The privately operated sanatorium, opened in 1904, became part of the state health system in 1915 and was renamed the Western Maine Sanatorium.
