Description
A cottage for women at the Maine State Sanatorium for tuberculosis patients.
The hospital, at Greenwood Mountain in Hebron, was privately operated and treated TB with lots of fresh air, a protein-rich diet, and rest.
The winds of the cottage are sleeping pavilions that allowed patients to sleep in the open air on porches or in rooms that were open to the porches.
