Description
The Maine State Sanatorium in Hebron reported at the end of 1908 how many patients had received aid and the amount of aid given for each month during the year.
The privately funded tuberculosis facility charged $12 per week. Patients who were unable to pay the full amount often requested reduced rates. The state provided some funds to help with indigent patients.
Aid totaling $5856.56 was provided to 71 different patients during the year.
