Description
The sitting room of the Wadsworth-Longfellow House in Portland as it appeared in 1902. Located on the first floor, southeast.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, the poet, grew up in the home. His sister, Ann Longfellow Pierce (1810-1901), lived there until her death and gave the house to the Maine Historical Society to preserve the memory of her brother.
