Description
Following up on an earlier letter to her brother Josiah Pierce, a student at Bowdoin College, Hannah Pierce, who was teaching school in Fryeburg, commented on his advice on her apparent disagreement with her father.
Josiah suggested that she turn to religion for consolation.
