Description
Hannah Pierce (1788-1873) of Baldwin, who was single and living at the family homestead, wrote to her brother Josiah Pierce (1792-1866) of Gorham, discussing their health and her life.
She also asked him about paying a tax on some factory shares she held, writing, "you my dear Brother, ever have and ever will, do what is best for the Sister, who is so dependent on you."
She frequently sought his advice on farming and business matters.
