Description
Hannah Pierce of Baldwin asked her brother Josiah Pierce of Gorham to buy share for her in the Cumberland Bank.
She also mentioned the letter date as the anniversary of the death of their sister Phoebe in 1800.
Hannah notes that their brother Daniel, who has moved to Michigan, is ill. She expresses regret that she cannot help him financially. Daniel has been unable to keep a job and apparently has a problem with alcohol.
