Description
Because of winter weather, Hannah Pierce of Baldwin told her brother Josiah Pierce of Gorham that she had been unable to get letters to him.
She reported that she did not need money because she had sold 13 bushels of apples.
She asked her brother to buy flour and sugar for her. Hannah was rather isolated on the family homestead, especially in the winter.
