Description
Josiah Pierce, a senior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, wrote to his mother, Phebe Pierce of Baldwin, mostly discussing the importance of religion.
He also tells her that he soon will work on his exhibition (an examination) and that he is one of five seniors given mathematical exercises to do. The best math students are given the exercises.
