Will of Ruth Thompson Pierce, 1807

Description

Ruth Simonds Thompson Pierce (1730-1811) wrote a last will and testament in 1811 to detail the distribution of her estate.

Her son Josiah Pierce (1756-1830), one of the earliest residents of Baldwin, was executor of the estate.

She was first married to Benjamin Thompson, who died in 1755. She then married Josiah Pierce (1720-1799) of Woburn, Massachusetts. She lived in Windham at the time of her death.

A son by her first marriage was Benjamin Thompson, Count Rumford.
