Description
George Washington Pierce (1805-1835) wrote from the family home in Baldwin to his brother Josiah Pierce (1792-1866) in Portland discussing his recently completed examinations.
George noted that the exams were "said to be the best that has ever been at that place." He was studying at Fryeburg Academy.
