Description
George Washington Pierce of Baldwin wrote to his brother Josiah in Portland asking him to send his copy of Virgil and other books. Pierce was studying at Saco Academy in preparation to attend Bowdoin College the following year.
Josiah, his older brother, graduated from Bowdoin in 1818.
