Description
George W. Pierce, a junior at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, wrote to his brother to tell him the part he had gotten for exhibition -- a public event where selected students read or gave assigned recitations.
Pierce also discusses how different all of the siblings in the family are -- in appearance and temperament. He was the youngest of eight who had survived to that time.
