Description
George Washington Pierce, in the waning months of his senior year at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, wrote to his brother Josiah Pierce in Gorham about moving to different rooms.
He previously had told his brother he had the best rooms at the college. The letter notes that he moved because of a "noisy and disagreeable set" next door and a "nervous and irritable proctor" below.
