Description

This photograph of Main Street in Limerick shows the Limerick National Bank on the left and the W. Adams & Son store on the right. The hill in the background can easily be identified as of 2013.

The Limerick National Bank was the first bank to pay account holders interest on the balance of their held with the bank. W. Adams & Sons was a general store, which was established by Winburn Adams in 1849. Adams had worked as a clerk to Colonel Morrill, before opening his store.
