Description
Fred H. Townsend poses, with his store help on the front porch of his store in this turn of the century photograph. George Lord stands to the far left and Townsend stands third in from the left.
Townsend's store was located on Main Street. It opened in 1892 and sold jewelry as well as shoes and home furnishings. After F. H. Townsend's death in 1911 , his wife continued to run the store as a men’s clothing and shoe business.
